Dear Valued Community Member, Every day, paraprofessionals make a difference in our schools and our communities. They support students, guide learning, and serve as role models. Yet for many, financial and systemic barriers stand in the way of achieving their dream of becoming licensed teachers. That’s why we are launching the Lift Every Para campaign. With your support, we can remove barriers and provide the tools paras need to earn their degrees, pass their licensure exams, and step confidently into classrooms of their own. Peer cohort sessions that build community and remind them they are not alone. Professional development that transforms paras into effective classroom leaders. Test prep & exam costs so finances aren’t a barrier to certification. Career readiness coaching to prepare them for the teacher workforce.

We’re all in this together, striving for our dreams.” “When I received an email stating that I owed, I literally started crying. I really didn’t think I would be returning back to school anytime soon. Receiving these funds saved me from taking out a personal loan from the bank or asking a family member to borrow the money. JET has been extremely great to me because they truly support all scholars in the program mentally, financially, and show support in any way they can. Without JET, there wouldn’t be a lot of future educators on the rise.” Together, we can lift every para, strengthen the para-to-teacher pipeline, and bring more diverse, committed teachers into the classrooms that need them most. Giving Tiers: $100 – Equip a Para: Covers the cost of essential resources such as Massachusetts tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) vouchers and partnerships that build community and engagement. $300 – Certify a Para: Funds both test prep and the cost of Licensure exams, helping a para take the critical step toward becoming a licensed teacher. $500 – Mentor a Para: Provides one academic year of mentorship that supports paraprofessionals in staying enrolled, developing effective teaching skills, and retaining their positions in the classroom. $1,000 – Launch a Para: Covers an academic year of comprehensive support: Mentorship, Professional development, career readiness coaching, and peer cohort participation—ensuring a para is fully prepared to enter the teacher workforce. $2,500 – Transform a Para: Provides full, holistic support that includes giving to our Scholar Support Fund, which helps mitigate various financial obstacles our Paras face while obtaining their degrees and licensure.
